Codino is an elite student debuting in The Legend of Dark Witch 2.
Appearance and Personality
Codino is a girl with lavender hair tied into a side ponytail. She wears a white and red cloak over a simple white top and skirt. Two years prior to the events of The Legend of Dark Witch 2, she was involved in a magic-related accident that cost her the use of her right eye; she willfully chose to retain the unsightly scar over that eye as a reminder of the incident. Her weapon is a shape-shifting "magical tool."
Codino is a kind, soft-spoken individual, though a cold comment made by Codino about the nature of "justice" concerns Zizou. She appears to have been a close friend of Sola's before the latter ran away to the Old Islands.
History
The Legend of Dark Witch 2
She is part of the second set of bosses, being fought at the Toscana Cathedral. Zizou recruits her to eliminate any threats from Germa still remaining in Liana.
She repeats the following attacks in order:
- Codino fires arrows upward (the number depending on difficulty level) that fall down and create long-lasting explosions.
- Codino rushes forward with a slash attack. On Expert and Lunatic, this attack is used while the aforementioned explosions are still active, adding an additional danger to dodging the attack.
- Starting at yellow health, Codino summons a number of small energy spheres that slowly track the player.
- Codino's Revenge Magic is Fantasista. An trail of energy crawls the ground for several seconds, attempting to track the player's position, before erupting into a giant pillar of energy. The pillar is capable of blocking shots.
Codino's weakness is High Power Beam. High Power Beam stuns her, forcing her to skip to the next attack in her sequence.
Trivia
- Based on the Beatus Creation Characters (Toni, Gila, and Pizarro) the school that Codino goes to is Viola Academy.
- Codino's Revenge Attack, Fantasista, reappears as one of the attacks used by Trider, the main boss of Downend in Brave Dungeon.
- Based on After Talk 16's name in Sola's Story of The Legend of Dark Witch Episode 2: The Price of Desire, Codino is a teen as Klinsy is described as a prodigy.
- In an unlockable Playing Level, NAN-A says that Codino was meant to play a bigger role in Dark Witch 2's story, and that she will come back one day.
