The Legend of Dark Witch Wiki
    (Redirected from Dia Missile)

DIA Missile is a skill found in The Legend of Dark Witch and its sequel. It is the signature skill of Klinsy.

    Effect

This skill differs when used by the Klinsy bossfight versus when used by the player.

    Klinsy (Bossfight)

In both DW1 and DW2, DIA Missile will create an arc of spikes around the player that will hang there for a split second then come inward onto the player. In DW1, the spikes will also continue moving to the end of the screen, while in DW2, the spikes stop upon reaching the center of the spike arc. The number of spikes is determined by difficulty level.

The player can move around during the arc’s creation, which will change the size and placement of the arc.

In DW1, DIA Missile is simply a part of the typical moveset. In DW2, it was promoted to Klinsy’s Revenge Magic.

    Player

In both DW1 and DW2, the effect of DIA Missile is the same: keep holding the attack button on an enemy, and eventually four spikes will home in and strike the enemy down.

The skill can be upgraded to lock on faster and deal more damage in both games.

In both games, the skill is obtained through the defeat of Klinsy.

    Super Effectiveness

Blad is weak to DIA Missile in DW1. Verri is also weak to it in DW1, although due to the charge time it is difficult to hit Verri with the attack.

Icke is weak to DIA Missile in DW2. Blad retains her weakness. Additionally, Franzer is weak to the attack, however, only her first form has this weakness.

    Glitch

In the 3DS international version of Legend of Dark Witch: Chronicle 2D Act, DIA Missile is glitched: it adds to the Enforcement Slot meter when used when no target is found, instead of subtracting from it. This can be chained as long as the meter does not have exactly enough for an upgrade, or EXTRA is used. In automatic modes, the game might upgrade an item for you, and thus end the chain. When this occurs, simply kill an enemy, switch back to the weapon, and continue firing for infinite Enforcement Slot meter.

    Trivia

    • Of all Technical Skills in the series, DIA Missile is the most effective on bosses, with five bosses weak to the skill.
